I’ve spent the last 15+ years building real businesses, not concepts, not ideas, but boots-on-the-ground, trade-based companies that employ real people and deliver real results.
Some I’ve founded. Others I’ve partnered in. All of them have taught me what it actually takes to build something that lasts and more importantly, what happens when you don’t get it right.
Here’s a look at the businesses I’ve helped build, lead, and exit.
Founder & Owner (2009–2022)
Grew to: $10M+ revenue, 50 staff, 30 vehicles
Valley Air was the start of it all. My wife and I launched the business from our home in 2009 with nothing but a fax machine and a big vision. Over the next decade, we scaled it into a multimillion-dollar operation with a custom-built HQ, a high-performing team, and a reputation built on reliability, quality, and trust.
Valley was more than a business — it was our platform for learning how to lead, grow sustainably, and build strong systems from the ground up. It’s where I learned how to run a real business, not just work in one.
Sold and still operating today.
Co-Founder (Silent Partner)
Grew to: 15 staff, thriving commercial contracts
This was a business I helped build in the background while two experienced painters ran the show onsite. I brought the business systems, structure, and financials, they brought the technical expertise. Together, we built something solid.
Eventually, the business no longer needed my input. That’s a good sign. I exited on great terms, and it’s still going strong today.
Co-Founder → Exit Partner
My second go at launching an electrical business and this time, I did it right. Learned from earlier mistakes and teamed up with a values-aligned partner. We built a steady, well-run company that gained real traction.
Eventually, I exited to let my partner pursue full ownership and drive the business in his own direction. The business is still running and doing well, which I take a lot of pride in.
Founder
Grew to: Rapid national footprint, multi-seven figures
Prime was born from a gap in the market. I saw smaller air con businesses struggling to get buying power and supplier access, so we created a wholesale business to serve that niche.
It scaled fast and made waves. We disrupted the local market and started expanding nationally until politics and red tape got in the way. Rather than burn it to the ground, I bought my partners out, stabilised operations, and put it into “cruise mode.”
Later sold along with Valley Air. Still active today.
Founder & Lead Coach
Active | arcbusinessdevelopment.com.au
ARC is the culmination of everything I’ve learned, the wins, the mistakes, the near-burnouts, and the breakthroughs.
After years of building and selling trade businesses, I realised my real passion was helping other business owners cut through the noise and build something that actually works. Not just financially but in a way that supports their goals, their family, and their life.
At ARC, we work with trades and service-based business owners who are ready to stop winging it and start leading. Through coaching, business groups, and our 10 Fundamentals framework, we help you build a business that’s structured, profitable, and sustainable without the fluff.
You’ve got two choices:
1. Keep spinning your wheels, hoping things “settle down.”
2. Or get clear, take action, and back yourself with someone who’s been there.
I’m not here to convince you. I’m here when you’re ready.
